More Radio Interviews...
On October 7th, Northwest FM's very own Janeane Baker, host of 'Not The Big News', the station's guide to independent music based in Melbourne, was joined by Andy as co-host for the duration of the 2 hour weekly program.
They shot the shit, chatted up a storm and played some of Andy's tracks, as well as some tracks Andy had brought in to play for the listeners... then they gave away some CDs. It was great. You can here the interview highlights here.

They play Andy on the Radio, and that's the way we like it...
That's right, the fantastic folks at 97.9FM Melbourne will be spending some time having a chat with Andy about his upcoming album and the trials, tribulations & triumphs of being an independent artist in the music scene. You can tune in tonight to 97.9FM in Melbourne, or catch the live stream at http://www.979fm.net - he'll be previewing tracks from the new album, and featuring the new single 'If We Lived Here, We'd Be Home By Now' with a string arrangement that's being tried out for the album!

It's going to be ace! There will be loads of free CDs to be had, and a rare sneak preview of the album and the recording process.

A Short Break
After a bit of time spent in the theatre, the time has come for Andy and the Melbourne Bluegrass Project to enjoy a short break from their long break! Andy is looking forward to spending some time working in the studio, and is busy applying for teaching jobs for next year. After a quick session mastering the cast recording for The Wild Blue, Andy is taking a few weeks off before he goes hard into the Christmas gig and recording season. What's on this week? Cup Day, The Lion King and some quality kickin' back...

Forever Passing By - 2005
The last few months have seen a 'rejigging' of the 2001 album Forever Passing By, which was produced by ex-pat Aussie Paul Clift. Each of the original 10 tracks will be re-recorded over the rest of the year and along with a couple of out-takes will appear on the internet only re-release.

21.08.05
RENT?
Andy is in the midst of callback auditions for a Melbourne production of the hit Broadway musical RENT. He is being considered for the role of Tom Collins. Ed: Sadly missed out, but hopefully will pick up an orchestra gig out of it!

18.08.05
Drumming Takes Over...
Andy has accepted the Drum Kit seat in a couple of musical theatre productions, which will see him keeping very busy until the end of the year...

08.08.05
No More Guitar... for a while.
A work-related accident has left Andy without the finger-pad on the middle finger of his left hand, rendering him guitarless for at least a month! Sadly, this means all gigs have been cancelled or postponed, and the next live gig won't be until September 24th, 2005.

18.07.05
Everybody Cut...
Andy is spending the next few weeks in the orchestra pit for a local production of the musical version of the hit 80s musical (!) Footloose, which he has no doubt will be fantastic fun, getting to bang out all of those classic 80s hits, such as Holding Out for a Hero and The Girl Gets Around!

26.06.05
El Producero...
Andy has spent this week in the studio with Melbourne genre parody band 'The New Rebellionators', working with an extremely varied set of musicians, songs and sounds to produce some tracks for the new young band...

25.04.05
Improvise this!
If everything goes to plan, Andy's junior masterclass in Improvisation in the Theatre: Junior Theatresports should begin its run at Melbourne's St Martin's Youth Arts Centre.

22.04.05
As Producer/Session Player...
Young Melbourne artist Nick Murphy and his band will be coming in to record a couple of tracks for their EP filled with piano based rock.

5.16.05
Oklahoma!
Andy will be playing Drum Kit in the Orchestra for a production of Oklahoma in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne - that's right, nights and nights of 'boom-chuck, boom-chuck...' what fun!!
